Christianity: Presentation 1

‘God comes from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hands, and there was the hiding of his power. Before him went the pestilence, and the burning coals went forth at his feet. He stood and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, and the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.’ (Habakkuk 3:3-7)

This Presentation describes and explains the main Biblical Prophecies which foretell the advent of a future great leader, a wonderful king, a glorious spiritual light who would ultimately unite the world through his beautiful teachings and his exemplary morals, and demonstrates how these Prophecies relate to none other than the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon Him).

Biblical Prophecies of Muhammad

If we will cease to have a choice in the life after death, aren’t we being demoted from our current status as conscious human beings with free choice?

This is an interesting question, and the answer can be given from many aspects. Firstly it is worth considering the purpose and nature of choice itself. When we talk of freedom of choice or free will in this world, it is subjective. Are we totally free to do as we please and do what we like? Yes, of course! But are we all meant to do so? The answer to this question is no. (more…)

What is the proper answer to the question of “If God is all powerful can he create an object he cannot destroy?”

This is a regularly repeated question, and manifests itself in various ways. In essence it is alleged that God’s attributes are self-contradictory. Atheists often pose questions such as: Can God make a rock too heavy for Him to lift? Can God kill himself? Can He create an object He cannot destroy? They then allege that if the answer to any of these is ‘no’, then God is not All-Powerful.

The true answer to this question essentially revolves around the fact that God is not just one attribute. He is not All-Powerful exclusively without any other attributes. A true conception of God takes in all his attributes in totality.  (more…)
