Who Are We?

Welcome to Student Review, a landmark student publication for Ahmadi Muslim youth, seeking to present fresh perspectives on the contemporary secular and religious landscape.

We represent a unique viewpoint in the world today – that of a student body whose members are a minority community within a minority, immersed in a religiously antagonistic western world. What perspectives can Ahmadis bring that others cannot? How do they deal with the challenges that being Muslim in today’s student world brings? Being young followers of a persecuted revival movement within Islam, to what extent do they find common cause outside of their own quarter? Answers to these questions, and many more, will, God-willing, fill the posts of our humble outlet.

Background

The Review of Religions was initiated in 1902 by the Promised Messiah (as), Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam. Serving as one of the longest-running comparative religious magazines, it has provided the English-speaking world with a steady stream of enlightened commentary with spiritual and religious treasures. With the gracious blessing of the Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Student Review was formed as a collaboration between Review of Religions and AMSA UK, the student body of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, so as to engage and inspire the student demographic directly.
